Gravity from kinematic orbits

  • Presented geopotential solutions were obtained by inversion of precise GPS positions, for details see References.
  • Maximum degree/order of the harmonic coefficients is 40; time-variable gravity field signal was identified to be significant up to degree/order 15 (for details please see below the paper Bezděk et al., 2016, and its supplementary material)
  • These data are free for scientific use, please cite the references.
  • Provided spherical harmonic coefficients are in the ICGEM format.
  • To easily produce 2D/3D images and animations, see our free tool: MATLAB script for 3D visualizing geodata on a rotating globe
  • Acronym "ASU" comes from "Astronomický ústav AV ČR" ("Astronomical Institute, Czech Academy of Sciences").
